Chinese, Korean Reactions: Karmine Corp and Bo’s Disaster in LEC

There has been quite the media flurry around Karmine Corp’s unfortunate showing in the LEC this split. However, how are Chinese and Korean netizens responding to the controversy? Let’s take a look, shall we?

We’ll start with Chinese comments and then jump to the Korean ones.

Looking at Reddit and X: Post-Voice Comms

Chinese netizens had two threads focusing on the new revelations and the response from English commenters afterwards.

One Chinese person in a French team speaking the most is very shocking.

Bo took up more than 50% of the team’s comms.

At least Bo went abroad and learned a new language. That’s an effective skill.

The most important thing Bo learned since going to KC is English.

DoinB also spoke the most in FPX and LNG.

Every team Bo goes to has internal issues.

On Reddit, most people are criticizing Targamas for pretty much not speaking. Even the things he does say aren’t true.
Reply: Targamas has always been like that. When I watched G2’s voice comms, he didn’t really speak. At the time, I thought that playing support didn’t match his personality.
Another Reply: He was like that in G2. But at the time, he had others to carry him.

Korean Netizens: Similarities to Brion

A lot of sympathy here and less criticism. 👇

A Chinese person in the league for two years is working harder than the locals.

KC is like LEC Brion. Is it possible that the playstyle is similar?

If they don’t change members in Spring, they might not play 30 games this year.

Since KC was eliminated early, it’s time to rebuild.

Seems like everyone [specifically the other team’s social media accounts] is making fun of KC.

Suddenly I feel like Flakked, who won with Targamas in that state, is amazing.
